The archaeological Museum Milos is found in Plaka and is accommodated in a beautiful neoclassic building of Ernst Ziller. In the museum you can admire the following collections: • Prehistoric collection by Fylakopi • Collection of sculptures and bas-reliefs • Collection opsidianoy • Collection of signs In the entry of Museum (Room A) , it dominates the faithful copy of Aphrodite Milos, which was manufactured by the laboratory of museum of Louvre. In the left winger department of room you can see showcases with blades from Fylakopi, the Nails and Demenagaki]. Also, in the same room you have the occasion to see tafiko pitho the 6th century eg. Advancing in the left room (Room B) you can see the prehistoric objects, from 5th millenium as end of 2nd millenium B.C. There you will meet showcases with discoveries of excavations from ancient Fylakopi, a lot of vessels with painted, figurines, altar from holy Fylakopis, small collection of made of precycladetic marble figurines and the famous “Dame of Fylakopis” In the small room behind the entry (Room G) you will meet work geometric, archaic, classic, Hellenistic and Roman, enough currencies, tools and utilitarian objects. Finally, advancing in the room of right entry (Room [D]') , you will see discoveries from the ancient city of Climate, enough sculptures the Hellenistic and Roman period (Ermaiko statue of Marios of Food, sepulchral bas-relief of young person with servant etc), made of marble and plates with the archaic miliako alphabet (Because the big acne that had reached Milioi in the historical period had developed their own “Miliako alphabet”, that was constituted by 21 letters).
